February summary

Turkish teachers

From 6 to 13 February we had at our school as guests 6 Turkish teachers in jobshadowing and we organised some activities to do with them during the week.

Meeting
The first of all was talking to them and showing the school. In this way we could learned things about Turkey and theirs school sistem. 

We showed them our presentetions and some of our projects.

Art lab: Pinocchio
The third grades have done an art laboratory about Pinocchio, they made Pinocchios together with the help of the art teacher. 

Olimpiadi Dantesche

For the second grades, in these days, Dante's olympics were held.

It was a game between the classes about the excerpts from the Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri. 

Ludoteca scientifica di Pisa

The second graders went on a didactic trip to the scientific toy library in Pisa for a day. 

The LuS is a toy library, a collection of games and tools created for redo the experiments that have made the history of science. It is a place to have fun while learning. 

Be my guide in Florence

On the last day all of us in the Erasmus club took part in a trip in Florence. The trip was organised as a "be my guide" where the students should have explained the most iconic and important monuments of the city. 

It was such a funny and interesting opportunity to discover something new about Florence, to get to know each other better and to practice our english.

Other activities:

- Stem lab.

- Token economy (second graders)

- Goosebumps of good manners (first graders) 

Gran Canaria teachers

In February 4 teachers came from Gran Canaria. They came to our school to tell us how their schedule works.

They have some special subjects such as "emotion time": the time for the emotions is an hour where each student writes the emotions he feels towards himself, his classemates, his professors or otherwise teachers. 

We asked them some questions regarding the school. We presented some  projects such as recycling, our art projects and our presentations about Lucca. 

Furthermore we made a video where we sang "que vedo" all together. 

Finally we did a "be my guide" in Lucca to discover the most important monuments of the city

It was a nice experience getting to know other countries and talking to people who live far from us.
