Background, project summary and main objectives
The compulsory use of integrated digital teaching in the last two years has opened a debate in our school regarding the preparation of teachers in this field and the effects on learning and on the relational and personal well-being of pupils.
We set these objectives for our project:
Involving both pupils and teachers in mobility and hosting trainee teachers:
Implementing technological, scientific and linguistic skills.
Promoting school inclusion by getting to know European realities and their good practices in this field
Improving awareness of environmental sustainability
Encouraging learning by doing approach in the various subject areas
Integrating digital teaching into the daily practices of the teaching - learning process, removing the emergency aspect and promoting its conscious use in support of the activities proposed in the classroom (blended learning)
Initiatives will be developed that enhance the school as an active community open to the territory and able to develop interaction among family, local community and local agencies.
The innovative practices already in place in our school will be enhanced, namely:
ICT and STEM laboratories
Environmental care
Support office
Creative and linguistic laboratories
Visits to the surrounding areas
Meeting NGO operating in the area
The expected results concern the improvement of the perception of the well-being of students and pupils in the school community, an increased degree of inclusion of fragile pupils, a greater awareness of the global repercussions of individual local problems for everything concerning sustainability and protection of the environmental heritage.
Action: Short term mobility for group of students.
Participants: 6 students (13/14 years old selected by the schools) and 2 accompanying teachers.
Time: 13th – 17th March (travel days 12th and 18th).
Activities (as stated in the application form, to be further detailed before the visit)
The students will participate in the lessons in the host school and will collaborate in special laboratories to create multimedia products.
Many other activities will be organized to involve pupils in order to come to know natural, historical and artistic aspects; besides, they can learn about local customs and cultural traditions.
Obviously, the target language will be English.
Main goals (as stated in the application form)
Knowing, respecting and enhancing eco-sustainability and the protection of the environmental and cultural heritage
Conscious use of new technologies for inclusive teaching and life-long learning
